Minimizing, Round 2.

October 10, 2012

Yesterday, I decided to take a stab at minimizing my current wardrobe. The first thing I did was inventory my closet. The next step was to remove any obvious items — anything I neglect, anything I don’t want to wear, anything uncomfortable, anything I don’t like on me, and anything I have trouble styling. I removed 37 of 113 pieces. Here’s the breakdown of the 76 pieces I have left:

  • 2 jackets/vests
  • 6 dresses
  • 12 pants/jeans
  • 9 skirts
  • 10 cardigans
  • 4 sweaters/pullovers
  • 5 long-sleeved shirts
  • 7 mid-sleeved shirts
  • 5 short-sleeved shirts
  • 16 sleeveless shirts

Next round, I’ll remove anything that I don’t love. If I put it on and say “meh,” it’s going onto the not-keeping pile. I’m going to be brutal!
